June 4-8
Spelling words will go home today. This is our last spelling word cycle. Spelling test will be on Monday, June 11.
Camp Evergreen is a nut and peanut aware facility. This means that we do everything within our power to make sure that we do not use products or allow products on site that contain nuts or peanuts. We are finding that the majority of our groups have participants that have severe nut and/or peanut allergies - in addition to our groups - we have a couple staff members that have severe allergies to nuts and peanuts.
When these products are brought on site - we have to bleach down our facilities to make it safe for our staff and participants. Due to this - we have a $200 custodial charge when nut and peanuts are brought on site. You will find this explained on page 5 of the Guest Group Manual.
If you could team up with us to make sure that we never have to enforce the fees due to nut and peanut products by ensuring that all of your staff, parents, and participants do not bring nut or peanut products in their lunches or in any snacks (granola bars or chocolate bars like Skor, Oh Henry, Eat More, etc...). Thank you so much and we'll see you soon!
We will be having air band for grades 3, 4, 5, near the end of June. If students are interested in air band, they will need to have a copy of lyrics and song to hand in by June 8/12. Practice time will be done on their own or arranged with their teacher.
We are preparing for Celebration Day. If your child did not get school photos taken in Kindergarten at Lochearn, please send a photo for us to include in our slide show. If you are able to send a digital copy, please send it to [email protected] or [email protected]. If you would rather provide a hard copy, we will scan it and return the original to you promptly. Thank you for your help.
