We have already had such a busy month of May. From being leaders in the school helping the grade twos, wetlands presentations, Jump Rope for Heart fundraising, our very own dress up day and of course getting to spend more time outside. Here are some highlights of the last couple of weeks. What has been your favourite This week we were able to present representations of the Famous Five. Each representation had to have the elements of the criteria we built as a class but looked different based off of the learning style of the student. There were puppet shows, powerpoints, google presentations, sculptures, posters, dioramas and signs to represent the students learning on the Famous Five. We were so proud of each student as they all did a fabulous job! Students have been working hard to get ready for math fair. Check out our math page at:http://5mw.weebly.com/measurement-inquiry.htmlYou will see the phases of construction right up to the final stage of making a real estate ad for auctioning our houses off. We will be doing this and raising money for Habitat for Humanity in Rocky Mountain House. The learning that the students have done throughout the project has been amazing and we are so proud of 5MW:) Students were working on similarities and differences between different regions in Canada - their presentations were fabulous!!!!!
Speeches were wonderful and the students did such a fabulous job speaking in front of a bunch of people! Way to go!
The basketball games versus ERE were so exciting! The students had a lot of fun and exercise! Students have done a fabulous job with their artifact tasks for the sequence book we were reading "The Red Sash" . Check out the pictures and videos below to see evidence of their learning.
What a great show of sportsmanship and talent! We had a great time today playing basketball against Leslieville School! Stay tuned for more pictures! Thank you to our photographer Mrs. Tanya Pidherney!!!!
