Today there was a special assembly to kick off Jump Rope for Heart. Students are bringing home information brochures and envelopes.
Camp Evergreen is fast approaching with the dates of June 13, 14, 15. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please confirm this with us directly as soon as possible as we are busy planning this trip.
New spelling words are being sent home today. Test and homework due next Monday, April 30. Thank you for your continued support of this program.

The grade 4 classes are organizing a lunch challenge this week as part of their Science program. On Tuesday, we will collect our lunch waste and weigh it. On Wednesday we will collect the waste from the hot lunch and weigh it. Thursday is the litterless lunch challenge, where students are asked to bring items that have less packaging, and we will collect the waste from that day and compare it to the others.
Assembly is on Wednesday. Pre-ordered hot lunch is also Wednesday.
David Bouchard, an author, will give a presentation on Thursday.
Dress as Someone’s Best will be on Friday.
Math Fair Friday from 11:20 to 1:00 in the library. The students of 5VM will be showing the houses they have made. Parents welcome to view.
Focus I Can Statements for this week:
Science – I can draw and interpret circuit diagram that include: symbols for switches, power sources, resistors, lights and motors.
Social – I can identify how my region is different from other regions in Canada.
Math – I can add and subtract decimals.
LA – I can combine ideas and information.
